If it's not a pre-approved offer you probably have good credit, but check into first. Those pre-apporved offer doesn't necessarily mean approved you still have to apply and everything. Check your credit report to see how good your credit really is (www.annualcreditreport.com) |

It means you have good to excellent credit. They and also Discover only look at above average credit status. Just make sure you make your payments on time so you can keep that good credit score. Keep it up, girl :) |

I would say that your credit it good because Amer Express is no easy to get approved for. They usually have pretty strict credit criteria. |

I doubt seriously, that you would have been approved, with bad credit, but you can look into it on line, or by mail. And be responsible. Don't live, to regret it. |

In my dealings with these companies American Express seem to be one of the fussier ones so I would say that your credit ranges from good to excellent |

American Express normally has higher lending criteria than other card issuers, with that said, they also have products with a lower criteria. For instance, it takes much better credit to get their Platinum Charge Card than it does to get their Green Optima Card. |

probably means your credit is good enough to obtain a credit card but doesn't mean you have good credit. many people like myself have a credit card but my actual credit is fair. it is a good way to improve your credit granted you use your credit card wisely. |
