Get a couple of store credit cards, like Sears or Macys. They have more incentive to extend credit to shoppers and you can use something liket his as a stepping stone.
Be VERY careful of some credit cards that tout themselves as a way to build your credit. Often these type of cards are vultures with very high fees and high interest rates. |

I have been trying for a credit card myself and can never be approved, I recently got lucky with MerrickBank.com, I got a decent line of credit and will slowly work it up, show that I am good! Give them a try, if I got one there anyone can!! |

I swear on the same page as your question was a thing from Orchard Bank. I think they deal with little, no, or bad credit.
Give them a shot. |

Your bet bet is to apply for one at your own bank or credit union.
How old are you? |

Open a savings account at a local credit union and start out with a secured credit card. Credit unions will treat you like a human not some deadbeat and will help you build your credit score.
As your experience and history improve, ask for higher credit limits (even if you don't use them!) and ask to have the security link dissolved.
Stay away from the credit card companies that focus on people with little or bad credit. They will SCREW you over big-time!
Good luck! |

Just pick the card you want and apply. If your income is above poverty level, they'll probably approve you with a small credit limit. After you've had the card a while and made all your payments on time, you can call them to have your credit limit raised.
If you plan on carrying a balance (not a good idea), shop around for a card with a low interest rate. If you plan to pay the full balance every month (very good idea), shop for a good rewards card. |

I started out in the same boat. To quickly develop a positive credit history, I opened a $1,000 CD at a bank. Then took out a loan, using the $1,000 as collateral, which helped keep the interest down. Then I quickly paid back the loan.
Bingo. Instant good credit score.
WARNING: be careful with credit - it's easy to spend more than you make with credit cards, and then that's trouble. |

You can check out Bankrate.com for more options in credit cards. Do a search and see what works best with you. You stated you have little credit. Do not rush into every offer thrown at you. Some credit cards are more trouble than they are worth (i.e. lousy APR rates, hidden fees, ect.). No one can establish credit or improve credit overnight let along within months. Just shop around both online and in-person. If you have a good bank or credit union, see a customer agent and ask what they offer. |
