try to get a cosigner..the only thing is that you must be responsible and pay your bills on time. if you do this, this will help your credit as well as the cosigner's. do not screw up their credit! |

try capital one. they give cards to just about anyone. they will charge a 69 dollar annual fee and give you a low credit limit but it is a start. also try household bank. better card less fees. |

You might be able to get a Student Credit Card from your bank. It will have a low spending limit on it (like, $500 of something). |

Hi 2Hott4U,
Start with a cell phone or another like creditor to help establish a credit profile. Have someone sign with you if necessary.
Apply for a secured-credit card.
Buy a small used car, again have some one help you by cosigning if necessary
After about 3 to 6 months of good payment history apply for a regular credit card. The interest rate will typically be higher since you are just starting out, but at least it will get you going.

first learn all about them from people who have had them (maybe your parents or older friends or people at work?)
Normally you will get free offers in the mail. YOu can apply
for one that way. Make sure you know what you're getting into
and how it can ruin your life before you start charging things. |

If ur 18 stay away from credit cards. Look at all of the other people on here who are in hell because of credit cards. Instead of using credit buy things with cash. It's a lot harder but you will save yourself a lot of money and headaches. |

if ur going to college you can get some. if not try capital one. thats what i had to do. go to www.capitalone.com. its hard at first. try getting a car loan. if u can have someone co-sign ull still get the credit. |

why do you need a credit card? all you have to do is apply for one on one of the many thousands that you get in your mail every year. keep in mind interest rates are going up and credit cards will take you for all that you have if you do not use them wisely. pay off the balance as quickly as possible. never send just the min. payment due. that is the best way to build a good credit history and have a good FICO score. however having to many can cost you. maybe 2 will be good over long term. good luck and use them wisely. dont start overspend just cause you have 5,000 limit. |

Sears was the first company to give me one when I had no credit history.Just be careful, your credit rating may not seem important now but when you get older and want to buy a house or get insurance or even get certain jobs your credit score is a huge factor!!!Good luck. |
