So, based on the answers I sucked it up and called. Turns out this bank location near me has a $12 counting fee for bringing in loose change.
Call before you bring in your change. It is the best thing you can do. |

yes, change is still money and most banks now have machines that you can drop your change into and it will give you cash back |

You need to at least roll your change before taking it to the bank, and if you don't have any coin rolls your bank will be glad to give you any extras they might have. |

that is very bogus I cant believe that they would charge a fee for this most banks do not ,the bank I am at does not charge a fee I mean it does take a little time but there are other transactions that take time to but I think it's called customer service aparently they know what customer service it and that's too bad ! |

It really depends on the bank. I would call and ask.
However, my bank asks that you do NOT roll it first, and if you do roll it, you will have to sit and re-open all of the rolls so they can run the loose change through the machine.
So yeah, basically every bank is different. |

Yes, try the bank that you have an account with and they will not charge a fee.Or you can try your grocery store. Depending where you live. |

Sorry but you need to count it roll it and put your acct number on the rolls before you can deposit it in your bank account.
OR you can try to locate a coinstar machine (they usually have them in your grocery store) They will take all your change and spit out a receipt that you can turn in for the cash. You will need to pay a fee for this service though... I thinks its a percentage of the total amount of change you put in the machine. |

that depends of the kindness of the teller. words of advice call them just to be sure. I'd hate it if you rolled up all that change, then get to the bank and they say you have to unroll it or vise versa. |
