they can only take your car, as far as enter a locked garage,
I'd check with your local state Laws. Mine can't repossess
unless I'm behind three months. They take your car, if you
not home, they SHOULD tell you where you can pick up
your belongings, they sell the car at Auction, and then
they are supposed to send you the Original Bill of Sale,
and then your balance gets calculated. You can hire a
Contract Lawyer and have him read the fine print. |

If you're having a temporary cash flow problem, call the bank and see if you could get a 2 month extension. If you have other debts that are also past due, perhaps you can refi your Ist mortgage and consolidate all your bills to 1 monthly payment. If you do refi, make sure you get a fixed rate with an open end which means you can pay down the mortgage anytime. |

It depends on the state that you live in. They may be able to put a lien against your home. If you cannot make the payments, you should just turn in the car. Its a lot less hassle then always trying to dodge the repo man because you cannot make the payments. |

The bank cannot sell your house unless you listed it as collateral for your car, which would be unwise. I do not believe that they can enter your locked garage to repossess the car, and they cannot take money from an authorized pension fund or from social security benefits. |

They can repossess the car from your locked garage if they have notified the local police and you have refused them access to the vehicle.
They can not sell you home or garnish your Social Security or pension plan.
They can attach bank accounts, garnish your wages (if your State allows it) and file liens on any other property you may own like cars, boats, land and homes. They must first take you to court and get a judgment, but they can do it.
This way if you sell something that they have placed a lien on they will be paid from the proceeds after any first lien if there is one is paid.
Add this to the fact that after they sell the car at auction for less then it's worth they will come after you for the balance plus all fees for the repossession, storage, towing, interest, reconditioning and lawyers. This can amount to several thousand dollars.
All of this will show on your credit for the next 7-years making it almost impossible to get any other type of loan without making massive down payments, paying huge fees and State maximum interest rates. |

They cannot sell your house nor garnish your SS pension.In order to enter your garage (locked or unlocked ) they would have to have a court order and be accompanied by a law enforcement officer. |

The car is the collateral on the loan, so they can definitely take the car back. You can't keep the car if you can't make the payments - that's fair, right?
With a warrant, yes, they can enter your locked garage. I have done so in my work, when repossessing an automobile.
But no, I don't believe under any circumstances they can sell your house. |

Yes they can re posses the car, and if you resist with a warrant they can come with police and you will have to surrender your car.
If you are having financial problems contact your financing company and work out a payment option they will only entertain a payment option if your car is purchased not leased. |

No, they can't sell your house, your vehicle financing is seperate from your car financing.
They can't take anything from your social security or anything else, the only thing they can do is repo the car and put it on your credit. So if you are behind on your payments I'd suggest taking anything out of the vehicle that belongs to you, b/c you won't get it back if they repo it. |
