If I spend all that's on my visa debit card in one day can I avoid the monthly charge?
Ok so long story short; My dad went to the local CVS store and got a visa debit card thinking it was a giftcard (he put 20 dollars on it) and I just found out that it has a 5 dollar monthly charge on it when activated (ouch). What I'm wondering is if I activate it and spend all 20 dollars on it in like one day (or most of the 20 anyway) will they still charge me the monthly charge? If they do how can I avoid that charge or maybe get a refund for the card since it's unopened with a recipet.
Pretty much I need to know if I can use it without the monthly charge or if we're just screwed outta 25 dollars?
