You do.. that is if you have an estate. If you do not have anything and no one else has signed for the credit card also, then there is no money for the credit card to collect. But if you have someone else who has signed and is responsible for the card payment also, then they will pay.

if you have taken out payment protection insurnce, then the insurance company does. if not then it comes out of your estate.

Nobody, that's what I call forward planning. Can't see it catching on though.

I lied for the sake of the joke, your estate if you have one will inherit (that's funny too) the debt.

Any debt left over will have to be paid off from the deceased's estate, unless the card was held in joint names when the survivor assumes responsibility for the debt.

However, card companies will review their decision on a case by case basis and in exceptional circumstances may simply write the debt off.

This will usually be the case if the remaining balance is a small amount or the deceased left nothing in their estate.

your spouse or your "estate" when it gets settled. If there is no will your assets will go into probate, creditors will get paid off and any family members get what is left.

*****
Your estate will be sued for the balance. The only way you can escape this is, if you die a pauper.

Goalie43
If you have insurance, it is paid off.
If you don't, it is paid off by the estate.

confused
depends if you are leaving any estate...

luciousgreeneyedlady
if there are no other names on the credit card then no one pays, it just gets charged off and the company writes it off as a loss.

Helen M
Your estate will have to pay... although it seems an extreme way to deal with debt.

It is not the next of kin, as they had no contract. Your assets will be assessed and valuated and the money you owe will be deducted. Your family will get what is left over after all of your debts are settled

the credit card will file a claim and get paid thru your estate,
if you own nothing or have nothing then they can't collect, they can't go after you kids or relatives to pay your debt

mrsclaura
if you have repayment insurance on it which a lot of people do the debt gets wiped clean and credit card destroyed. if you don't have insurance for it then it will be your next of kin so husband/wife, mother/father or children

Chris
Insurance, if you have any, but not if you commit suicide, Then it falls on the next of kin.

CEILING CAT!!!
If you have no family or next of kin they will auction off ur organs and body parts at the DDC

You won't have to pay it back. You'll just have creditors knocking on your casket daily, and leaving business cards all over your headstone. That would be most embarrassing.

DjSasha
God, of course.
