No, not as long as you pay the balance due by the due date noted on the next bill you receive from the credit card company.

Ryana
No! Just pay off the balance before the next cycle.

Uh huh, go on I'm listening

Interest. Unless your card specifies no interest charges till after x-amount of time. But typically, yes, you'll pay interest.

Finance charges are rarely assessed on non outstanding balances. In other words, in general, you wont pay a finance charge if you pay the full balance off before the due date.

Check your agreement to see what your "grace-period" is. They should give you a "grace-period" or a certain amount of days that you have to pay off the new charges before they incur any interest. It does not always line up with your billing cycle tho! It will be a certain number of days after the purchase. Typically it is about 20days. Some are less tho, while some may be longer.

Billie
It depends on the terms and conditions of your credit card, as stated by the issuer. There's not enough information for anyone but them to answer this question.

HelpMeEscrowStuff
If you charge 8K and pay it off before your credit card statement date, you will incur no additional charges.

Everyone thinks that credit card companies hate consumers like you... but, in fact, they do NOT. Something most consumers don't know is that credit card companies charge the vendors you're buying stuff from, a fee! Some range anywhere from a half a point to 3% or even more! They're making money on your purchase whether you're paying interest on it or not.

steven m
There might be some small Fee
Banks are good at that
It will depend on the Card and the Bank
The only way to find out woulld be to read all the SMALL PRINT

Cheryl G
It depends upon the card. Some have a grace period of 15 to 25 days, during which time you'll not incur interest. Others start the interest rolling when the charge occurs.
Check with the customer service number on the back of the card and see what they say.

annazzz1966
You'd have to pay it off before your next statement is generated. That's around 20 days.

Your balance is well within the credit limit of your card. It this is paid by the statement date, there will be no charge. That is why you use credit cards so you don't have to carry a bundle of cash.
