It depends who's asking... If the IRS wants to make a direct deposit, it's fine :) However, if you are doing business with a person you don't know, you better ask for a casher's check, PayPal or Western Union. |

It depends on what information they are requesting and why. If it is a title company or some other licensed institution for transfering funds to your account it is probably okay...If you are uncomfortable with the situation at all I would handle it personally. |
