Yes they will, they apply for a direct debit three days before it is due. If you have to cancel another one make sure there is more than three days before it is due to come out. |

No, I think! I did something similar a while ago & my bank told me that they had taken the money 1 day before I had cancelled it but they also told me that they could put it back in my account if I wished because it takes about a week to clear in someone elses account.
So you could try ringing your bank & see what they say |

They can still take it as they start the process a few days before the dd actually comes out of your account ( I found this out the hard way!!) |

It depends upon the agreement between you and the company. Some companies will allow a cancellation the day prior to a direct debit and some require longer. |
