dgreer58 | If you default on your credit card, can the card company sue you? |
Say you have about $3500.00 on one card and $3500.00 on another card, can you be sued for not paying? |

they wont sue you if is less than $5000 but if your cards are both master card or both visa then they will garnished your wages for sure, better consolidate your debs and make one payment, talk to them tell them that there is another card and that you would like to consolidate and make just one payment they will listen and give you and appointment to see one of his agents, the best thing to do is to negotiate, do it and you will be better off.
may the force be with you. |

Yes, of course they can sue you. The question is if they will. |

Yes they can sue you. Even worse, they will send it to a collection agency who will hound you non-stop until you pay or file for legal protection (bankruptcy). Either way, you take a big hit on the credit rating numbers. Better off to pay the things off. |

They CAN sue you, but in many instances it will cost them too much to sue. You can use the law to your advantage in dealing with collection agencies, creditors, and repairing. Try your best to work out an agreement with the creditor. Do your homework on the web and at the library, you will be suprised. |

You can be sued as well as having your credit ruined for quite a long time. If you have to see if the credit card company will work with you in setting up a payment plan or even cut the amount you owe if you can pay it all at once. |

Any one can sue you this is America. Most companies don't sue unless it's a high enough credit amount that you defaulted on. There would also have to be a pattern on your credit report showing that you open accounts and then don't pay on them. 7/10 chances are they wont sue you, unless your amount is at least 5,000 our higher |

Yes, they can. They can go to court and have your paycheck garnished to pay the funds. |

Why aren't you paying? Quit buying things if you can't afford them. Live within you means. I hope they do sue you. And your credit will be ruined. |
