You investigate and see who will allow you to have a credit card that has a 50.00 dollar limit at first. You will have to put 50.00 dollars down in order to use this card. I think it may be called a secured credit card.
There are places that will help you get back in shape.

I highly doubt that to get your credit back the solution is to get another credit card. I think the solution is to first pay off all your debts. Get some credit by paying your bills on time. Credit cards should be the last thing on your mind when you have bad credit. |

First of all, you need to learn how to not live on credit. Secondly, if you think you've learned your lesson, you can go to your bank or credit union and apply for a secured credit card. You put money in an account and the card is backed up by that account. If you don't pay it, the bank keeps your money.
You can then charge a little to it each month, perhaps for a utility that you need to pay anyway so you don't overspend. This gets reported to the credit bureaus as a positive payment history. After a while, usually a year or two, they may convert it to an unsecured card and perhaps raise your limit.
Save money for the things you want and live below your means. Don't charge things to credit cards that you don't need. If you want to build history with cards, charge utilities to them, don't use them for every day shopping. |
