File a motion for slow pay. This is done at the courthouse. Prove your poverty and that you can only afford amount X. One the judge grants your motion for slow pay, the CC company has to eat it.
Just make sure you make the payment every month and on time or the slow pay just might get set aside and you are back on the crucifix.

Wage Garnishment,

you might want to consider bankruptcy review the new laws and see if they are for you.

They will garnish your wages. But the easy answer is they will garnish your wages, and you will be forced to live off of less, because your net paycheck will be less.

Can you get a second job? Cut expenses more?

Call the lawyer that is suing you and find some kind of payment arrangements.

you can consult a lawyer and they can give free consultation and you can go from there also you can look into having the court appoint you a lawyer or you can call the credit card company and see if you can work out a payment plan for you i just went through this and they work with me and now i have no more credit debit with that company and that was 3 years ago

Ask M
Ask them to validate and then if they still place a court order
against you and didn't validate the debt (are they collection collection agencies?) then you can sue them back. But
you have to show up in court or they win by default and then
it is on your report UP TO 15 years depending on where
you live.

Would should have happened before now is that a payment agreement should have been made between you and the credit card company.
The judge may outline a payment plan, where you pay an affordable amount each month, or he/she may mention bankruptcy...I honestly can't tell you for sure without knowing the full story or which country you are in.

You need to contact a consumer credit counseling service. Usually they will pay off your cards and then put you on a budget to pay them off, as well as collecting a monthly fee of their own for their service. They can also get the lenders to lower or cancel fees and interest amounts if they don't pay off the credit cards for you. You could also negotiate with the lenders on your own, telling them the truth about your situation, etc. Most of them will gladly take a little money in payment as opposed to getting nothing if you declare bankruptcy. However, if you get a court to declare you bankrupt, it will be on your record for up to 20 years and no one will lend you money again until you prove you are "credit worthy" of their trust.

If you don't get some kind of way to pay off the cards, then you can be sentenced by the judge to go to jail, as well as loosing your car, house, etc. You cannot sit back and do nothing, or just throw yourself on the "mercy of the court" because they will have no mercy on you.

A percentage of your salary will be garnished. Start making a list of your monthly expenses to present to a judge if this happens.

wage garnishment. the judge isn't going to feel sorry for you, YOU created the debt, not the credit card company. You need to pay your way, and stop living beyond your means. If you can't pay for it in full by the time the credit card payment is due, don't buy it!! The judge will tell you that if you have time to sleep, you have time for a 2nd job to pay off your debt(s). Having credit is a HUGE responsibility, and it's because of poor finance management that causes repossession, foreclosure, etc. causing the market to panic, driving interest rates through the friggen ROOF!! No sympathy here, man. I let my wife have a few cards, next thing I know, I'm over $30,000.00 in debt, and late on everything. You're going to need a huge shovel to dig your OWN way out of this. And the credit card company won't eat anything. They'll sell that debt to another company, then THEY'LL come after you all over again. Debt never goes away, until it gets paid. There is no statute of limitations if the debt keeps getting sold, because it's a whole new debt to them.

If this is a valid debt, that is they sued you while you were still in the Statute of Limitations, the debt is yours and the amount is valid you will need to pay it.

Do not worry about having to pay a lump sum. If your state allows it the creditor will request an order to garnish your wages. The court then will look at your income and required expenses. From there they can order up to 25% of your gross income garnished. They are very strict as to what they will take into account. If you have things like Child Support or other court ordered payments they will consider those, but do not care about other bills such as other credit cards or car loans.

If Wage garnishment is not allowed they then can go after your bank accounts or any real property you own.

If your debts are huge you should talk to a good Credit Counsling Organization and as a last resort possibly consider bankruptcy.
