Try going around the neighborhood and getting odd jobs. You can shovel drive ways for like $30 -- maybe $40, is the fall you can rake yards, weed gardens, etc. Offer to do some elderly persons shopping and delivering. Walk dogs. Like I said--- odd jobs. One fall when I was younger I made like $90 after raking like two or three yards. Don't charge too high though--then the people will think that is too expensive. Also try telling them about your situation. They are bound to give something. When I was younger and doing this, I told people I wanted to take my dad out for Fathers day. One guy already had someone doing his yard but he said I was sweet and gave me and my brother money anyway. |

I'm really sorry to hear about your problems at home. Times are really tough for lots of people right now.
When I was your age, I got a job at an animal kennel. A pet store would be another good idea. Or at a hair salon sweeping up hair and making coffee for customers. The options get better as you get a little older. |

First of all, DONT listen to anyone trying to get you to make money on the internet. And secondly, dont listen to the people who say" you have no chance" (someone already said it)
I know what its like. My family have never been rich. we've had hard times. We got through them by helping each other, and now we're actually quite well off because my older sisters were smart and determined to do well, and they did. Then i got a summer job when i was 15. I made a lot of money, and now i dont need to ask my parents for any.
You obviously have this determination too.
At your age, probably the best things would be babysitting, waitressing, or maybe cleaning. Yes the jobs are crap at this age, but stick in there, you'll do well.
But definitely dont give up your education to make money. |

Have you tried babysitting? Helping the neighbors with yard/house work? There isn't any actual job you can get, but ask other family/friends/neighbors if there is some work you can do for them for a little bit of cash. |

When I was 13 I worked at a video store and I worked at KFC. As long as you can get a workers permit and they follow the labor laws for minors you shouldn't have a problem. I also used to do a dog walking job, which you can be any age, I washed cars, and sold candybars. Try doing a garage sale of your old stuff. |

It shouldn't be a 13's year old responsibility to provide money for her parents ... Also, why are you worrying about your electricity when your on a friends computer ?
Anyway, there's nothing much a 13 year old can do at this moment in time! Your not valid to have a "Real" job until your 16 and you get your National Insurance number through the post, just pray and hope you get through this sad time!
Good Luck for the future & for your family!

@ 13 I think you are still too young to start hunting for money.. Anyways condition made things that way. listen think of your academics first, that is your greastest weapon to make that money you are looking for, your mom is struggling cos she wants you not to, you are still too young. |

Look for social assistance. Try the Salvation Army. Try a church. You don't have to be a member of the church. There are various places to get help. You'll need more than what you'll be able to do. Call the crisis line. They will direct you. |

to get a job you need a work permit if your underage. but that's for like working working. like having a job. which i believe is under 15. but you can do other things like. cut grass for people. babysit. do choirs. maybe deliver news paper. not a whole lot you can do by yourself. ask people you know if you can do favors for them to get money. or go to some work places sometimes they have something you can do to get a spot of money. other then that. not A lot.
other things
rake leaves
shovel snow
walk dogs
baby sit dogs
car wash
there are a few things. not huge money makers but are good and are better then going off stealing and doing naughty stuff. be good :P |

Seeing as you're only 13 you can't get a job at a store, so how about babysitting? Go to Sittercity.com and make a profile. It gives you moms in your area that need a sitter. Best of luck, love. |

Babysitting. People don't hire at 13 usually because of child labor laws. |
