Only your bank can give you one, so you need to apply / ask / speak to your bank.
However, I notice you say "I WANT" not "I NEED" - which suggests you have a naive understanding of personal finance (didn't most of us at your age!) You should ask yourself why you want one - is it for a specific purchase, or is it because you don't have money left at the end of the week/month.
If the former, then a bank loan will be cheaper than an overdraft - unless you only use the overdraft the once, pay it of completely, and never use it again.
If it's the latter - then perhaps you need some budgeting advice! (Try CAB, Payplan, National Debt Line etc)
Or, if applicable, why not ask family for an interest free loan and some advice with budgeting.
Best wishes

DONT DO IT!!! The only place you get an overdraft at 18 without a credit history will rip you off!! I have done exactly the same and resulted in lots of debt!! My money goes straight into my bank and they take it straight of me for charges.. I started with a £50 overdraft and everytime i went into the bank they urged me to put it up if i was all ready upto my limit.. If you do go for it be etremely careful!! |

Get yor credit rating up and keep borrowning money while stashing it then when you get say 50Gs or more worth in debt leave the contry and dont come back for 7 years keep the cash in a back in your country of choice then come back and build it up again and do the same its the best way to save money for your old age.
Ask yourself could you save 50GS in 7 years and tell me if its worth it ? |

Ask your bank for details |

if it is for a particular purchase, get a small loan from them and make sure you pay it on time. this should improve your credit score for later |

im on the same account thing as you, just go into your bank and ask to be cahnged to a normal account, and as long as you have not been overdrawn on you under 19's account you should be able to get an overdraft there and then, also you have to have regular money going into your bank for three months!
good luck hope u get it =] |

Just go into your branch and ask them. |

Most banks will give you overdraft protection. You have to be 18 or older to legally apply for any type of credit. If they give it to you keep it at a small amount like 200. It's easy to wind up with something like 1000$ in overdraft protection and wind up in a hole you can't get out of. |

Well you've not got much of a credit history so your bank will give you an overdraft if you ask but it will only be a small one. If you are in a full time job that will help because the bank will see that you are earning cash. If you earn over £1000 a month go into any bank and ask for a current account and you will automatically get an overdraft, Hope this helps! |
