18!!!!! I don't know what 40 pound converts to in US currency, but if you're 18 and already doing bad with debt I hate to see how you're doing in the future. You must have some of those parents that do EVERYTHING for there child, get your *** off the computer and get a J-O-B ASAP. Regards to debt collectors they're happy if you're just making an attempt to pay them (weekly, monthly, just givin somethin'). How you gonna pay weekly with no job? Let me know the secret to that!!!!! Good Luck |

Sometimes debt collectors like to be tough so they want you to pay, they really dont know if you really dont work and you dont have money, normally they work with you and except weekly payments, but there is nothing to worry there is always a way out and time is a great healer. |

OK, what you need to do is... call the debt collector and tell them that you're having a hard time paying back the debt BUT tell them you're wiling to compromise and say tell them how much you'd be willing to pay back monthly. All they want is their money back so they will come to a compromise with you. I know forty pounds doesn't sound like a lot of most of us on Y/A but to someone that isn't working it is a lot! I suggest you get yourself a part-time job if you're in education.. if you're not in education then I suggest a full-time job! You'll be able to pay back the forty pounds in no time at all!!! But for now ask the collection agency to come to some sort of agreement.. I'm sure they will. Chin up! |

Id give you £40 but im going away so can you wait till i get back. Oh they cant refuse a weekly payment coz you are offering to pay the debt. It cant be something stupid like 10p, it will have to be something like £5-£10 per week. |
