'goodwill' and 'banks' are 2 words that will never go together i'm afraid. |

My bank, First Direct, let me off a load of unarranged overdraft charges when I said I had been on chemo and lost track of my accounts. I didn't even ask, just sort of apologised for the overdraft and explained why and the guy on the phone said 'just a minute' went and asked somebody and that was it, charges gone. I always big them up now. |

No. They will expect you to sell everything you own to pay them back or cash in your life insurance. If you don't pay your debts, your estate is expected to pay it, and any inhertiance for your loved ones will be plundered before they get anything that might be left.
You don't expect Bankers to have souls, do you? They expect to be rewarded for being greedy and stupid, just as they expect the taxpayers to pony up for the losses they have been suffering lately.

No but they will probably start asking for a smaller amount that is if the cancer is terminal. That way they can still keep you happy but they get something back. If the cancer is not terminal there is no chance |

...well i don't thinks so...
...its business bro... only if it is a charity office or something...
...if it happens it will be most appreciated by their government...and the people also... if someone has cancer they will rush to that bank and make a debt as large as one can and then declare that "i have cancer"...hehehe... does it sounds good... well i guess perhaps it does good to those patients... |

I take it you are in debt because of the cancer, you can always speak to your bank if this is the case, you never know, there may something. Do you have insurance (before getting cancer)?
If not in debt because of the cancer then not to be cruel but I dont see why they should, no offence. |
