We have all had bad experiences from time to time with credit card companies. But anyone who has ever done business with Capital One knows they are crooks out to screw everyone they can. Their standard business practices should be illegal, in fact many of them are.
My mother doesn't even have their card or any affiliation with them and they sent her a bill for $66 for Internet use. She doesn't even go online or have Internet services. Their interest and fees should be considered usury. They are so evil it makes me wonder if Bush might secretly be in charge there. |

Oh, I can't stand CR@Pital one! I've been able to switch to much better cards over the past few years and am much happier. Their customer service SUCKS! I had to write a letter it was so bad. They did respond and apologize, but still, it was something I would FIRE my customer service reps over. I even asked if the conversation was being taped and he said yes and I gave them the time and day and name of rep in the letter. Hope he was reprimanded. Their fees are too high and so is their interest. I now have 3 cards, all with ZERO annual fees, ever, and one is at zero percent interest, the other at 3.99 and the third I don't have a balance on cuz it's about 12 percent, which isn't bad. But my credit is good now, so they reward me. |

Salute, Tribute, and Total visa, Aspire and a hole lot more. I call these rip off cards, they charge this big yearly fee and 6-9.00 amonth , the yearly fees are like 150.00.One of my daughters too had trouble with Capital one. |

They're all crooks and they'll sneak away with as much money out of your pocket as they possibly can. Capital One is a pretty bad one, I had problems with Bank of America too. |

Capitol One was horrible! They charged me with no reason and refused to remove it. The customer care service hung up on me! |

Capital One changed my interest rate from 7.9 to 12.9 for no apparent reason. I called and reminded them that they are the only card I had, that I have never been late, that I pay more than the minimum and I am a very loyal customer. The woman I talked to kept parroting back to me lines they are obviously given to answer with. After asking her over and over, why they changed it and why they couldn't change it back, I finally said "So are you telling me the answer is 'just because'. She finally agreed yes. I immediately got another card at 0 percent interest, transferred the balance, and left Capital one for good. The thing to remember is that if you carry any balance, any card company can do this at any time. They can raise your rate whenever they want and if you are late they can demand payment in full, charge you ridiculous fees and again, increase your rates.
We all need to live on what we make. I am making a serious effort to get us 100 percent out of debt and keep only 1 emergency card.

american express. its not really excepted at most places because they take the largest percent fee from the businesses. more so than other card companies. |
