Hey am thinking about buying the PS3 with a few games from Amazon.com, am using my girlfriend's credit card and she's really scared about losing her money. Yes, amazon.com is a safe merchant. But you're smart to be very careful with credit cards online. Make sure the website says, https instead of http when you actually type in your credit info. This means the site is encrypted and will secure your financial information. Buy from well-known merchants (like amazon). Never answer any emails asking you to verify account information by clicking on links in the emails. |

I dont think you'll have any problems using any credit cards. I never had a problem. Amazon is very safe in my opinion. |

I have used my visa on Amazon for the last 2 years a total of 15 times and have never had any problems at all. It is better to use a credit card instead of a debit since credit card transaction can be rescinded and you can get your money back. |

After having bought dozens of items from Amazon.com, using my credit card in their secure site, I have never had any problems. Just make sure you are in the secure area, with the little lock symbol at the top or bottom of your screen. |

Your credit card is generally safe used online with a major online retailer like Amazon. If there were a problem, she would have recourse with her card company. Amazon is well-known and very reputable. I've bought from them dozens of times in the past several years with no incidents. Just pay attention to the credit card statement, whoever you buy from, to make sure there are no unauthorized charges. |

Yea Chad, it'll be safe. Im actually a senior in college, I have bought all of my book needs and other things from amazon and have always been satisfied with their site. The only time it is not safe is when you are buying from one of their private merchants and the merchant asks you to give them your card information. In that case never give them your credit card info! Whether you're buying one of the new items from amazon or used items from one of their merchants, always just make sure that the money transaction is done through amazon. |
