Nothing wrong with 2 credit cards if the balances are paid off each month. |

I have two, and I know a lot of ppl that have at least 4. Just so long as you are careful about not overusing them and paying the bill on time, it will be a great way to build your credit! |

While one component of your credit score is debt, another component is responsibility. Having multiple credit cards with no late payments is better for your credit score in most cases than just having single card. |

As long as you don't run up huge balances you can't afford to pay, you should be fine. |

I have about 8 cards. You can have as many as you want. It is advisable to have as much "available" credit as you want. Just don't go spending it all and make sure the interest rates are good. |

You can have anything you want sweetie, just as long as you know the consequences. You have to pay back the money that you use on credit cards. The more you know you can get, the easier it is to spend. And they (the credit card companies) know that. If you have self control, then by all means, get your two cards, control your spending and be happy. But if not, then you might want to think about it a little more. Unlike with debit cards, where your spending money you know you have, because it's being pulled from your bank account, credit cards are like using someone else's money and you have to pay back every dime, with interest, so it's a big responsibility, just be ready for it. |

no problem with having multiple cards, but do your best to avoid carrying open balances on them. the interest charged by credit cards is borderline criminal. |

I keep at least two major cards. I utilize a primary card for regular expenses, and I pay it off monthly. I have secondary accounts available to me if I should need them for unusual expenses which also can be paid off within the first billing cycle. My advice follows the same line. Don't get over your head with two credit cards. If you can manage two credit cards without damaging your financial situation, then go for it. If you think there is even a chance that the second card will lead you to rack up more debt, then skip the second card. |

It looks good for your credit history and credit score, if you plan to keep a low balance and do not over spend. |

No. I do and I have over $5,000 worth of debt. It is not worth it unless you want to be paying 20 years later for something you bought today that you did not need. |

It is actually recommended that you have 2-3 credit cards, and maybe a secured loan (car, mortgage, etc.) to established the best credit rating.
Do your research. Go to the site that developed the FICO scoreing system. They have lots of consumer information there. |
