Happened to me in Jan and I was PISSED!
I called the bank and gave them some sob story and they were able to credit my account with the fees.
Then they signed me up (with my permission) a credit card that would 'catch' the charges.
If your bank has this as an option, please try to do that.
From what I am told, the credit card will catch the overdrafts for a flat rate fee of $10.00. that could save you hundreds and you wont have to pay it back all at once on weeks were you are a bit short on the cash so you can pay it back bit by bit.
Investigate that and see if you can find a card with no annual fee too. |

It happens to many people, more than most will admit. The economy is horrible, and people are just trying to survive. Most banks let you overdraft in order for them to make money in this sinking economy. I try hard not to overdraft, but from time to time it happens anyway. Bills are always knocking at your door! |
