Is having £1000 on a credit card considered as being in debt?
Even if I am paying atleast £50 a month to clear it and its interest free for a year.

Until you pay it off, yes.

Of course it is a debt and it will be until the outstanding balance has been cleared.

A debt is something you owe - so technically, yes you are in debt!
However, it is not a big debt... and is not a 'bad' debt until you default on any payments...

Can you afford to pay off even £10 more each month? You really need to pay it off before you come out of the interest free period, so you don't end up having to pay back a llot more than it is actually worth

Yes, unless you pay it off in full then you are in debt.

If you owe money then yes you are in debit.

Yes.

If you cannot pay it off quickly, and paying in installemnts then yes - irrespective of how much interest you are paying.

You will only pay off £600 at that rate so yuo'll need to sort this out.

Yes! If you pay off 50 pounds a month you are only paying off the interest and you are not actually paying off what you owe.

What would happen if yo lost your job and couldn't find another for a few months?? You wouldn't be able to even make these payments and then you are in serious trouble.

Once you can't pay the money back I've heard that banks get really nasty....

Try and pay off 100 pounds a month for a year to clear it...don't spend on it at all and use it only for an emergency.

Debt is a burden and ruins your happiness...so be Strong and get rid of it asap whilst you are earning money. xx

Yes it is. Until the time you have debts in your cards your credit score will not reflect in your way. I know many people take a debt consolidation loan and they pay off in time. What happens is, when you pay off this bad credit loan ( http://loan-guides.net ) your credit level automatically grows up.
