Don't pay it for a few months and then give the credit card companies a call. Ask them to give you a settle amount. It will be lower than you owe. If you do this, they realize that you are not going to pay the money back and would rather have some money then none.

I know of two guys at my work that have followed my advice and came out ahead.

Good Luck!

well, I don't promise anything but
here's two links that often get me best answers:
http://credit-cards.ebookorama.com
and here http://finance.ebookorama.com
you may also pass them around and help anyone get rid of their debts, people always seem to find help via these links so spread the karma and get points.
good luck!

Bankruptcy or debt consolidation are the only ways I know of to re-organize your debt. Better to not have charged up the cards though.

You have to go through the rule and regulations of credit card issuing bank, Some banks wave of the credits if the card user is suffering from some already mentioned Deices,
If the credit card user dies then no one has to worry they have insurance policy so they will adjust the credit with that.

Wish speedy recover for your brother.

the only way to Reduce Credit Card Debt is by consolidating your bills into a monthly payment, this is called debt consolidation.
if someone wants to get out of debt today it is pretty easy with a debt consolidation plan
however it may get a bit tricky at times, I suggest you get as much information as possible online on this first,

a good place to start in my humble opinion is an online ebook :

you can read it for free at:

Someone I know went through the same thing. They had to file for bankruptcy. It helped them out. They have to pay so much every month (adjusted to income, I assume) to reach the amount that was decided.

cut up every single card, go and get financial advice from an expert who will probably suggest that he talks to the bank and makes arrangements to pay it back little by little and never ever get another card

ceces_3
i suggest you call the bank issuer of the credit card and have them recompute the interest rates.

cartier95
look ! I advise to to go the security and finance company , they will guide you to the right way

jimdan2000
Bankruptcy, it will not get rid of the credit card debt in most sates (Since he voluntarily got the cards) but is should stop the Interest or at least reduce it.
