Not at all.
But do not go for a full year because some credit card companies will cancel your card due to inactivity.
When you do start using them again be sure not to exceed 30% of your credit limit in any given month and pay them off in full before the due dates. |

This is COMPLETELY UNTRUE. The only fear of not using your CC for a few months is that it is canceled for none-usage. Some CC companies do this, so just be aware to make sure it does not happen to you. I have plenty of CC that havnt been used since I got them and yet they still show up on my credit report as positive credit lines. |

No, not using your credit cards for a few months never hurts anything. Infact, it gives you time to pay them down or off. Also creditors tend to up your credit limit when they see your not using them as much. But don't go over a year without a single purchase on a card, because sometimes they do become inactive. |

If you are no longer using your credit card, and are not carrying a balnce, it is probably best just to close the account. If you want to keep it open, just make a small purchase evry once in a while and pay it off at the end of every month. |

If it is bad, then I'm horrible because I have a card I haven't used in over 5 years. And they still haven't cancelled it, they just sent me a new card last month. No, it isn't bad. It shows an open account and you always pay on time. That's all anyone wants to know. Red flags are usually if you have too many credit cards, such as having 20 or so, so you have $100,000 in available credit, having late payments, or not having enough credit such as you owe $2,000 and your total credit is $3,000. |
