No difference.
I see it as a 30 days interest-free loan.
So pay your bill a few days in advance. |

Doesn't matter. The only thing that affects your credit is if you pay it on time and what the balance is compared to the limit. It doesn't show on reports if you make your payments early. |

Pay it early. I've gone online and paid on the due date and then the credit card company didn't post the payment for 2 more days and added a late charge to my next bill.
sneaky bastards! |

As long as you pay on time it doesn't matter... |

Don't pay it TOO early. As long as it is after the statement prints, its fine. I have a CC that is due the 5th of each month. I paid the August 5th payment on July 11th-- the same day that the statement/bill printed and they credited it as a July payment so I had to pay the August payment again! They removed the late fee but they were calling like I hadn't paid even tho I paid EARLY!
So wait til you get the bill/statement and then you can send it right awya. Never wait til the last week becuase they can take a few days to post and then they charge a fee. |

every credit card report to the credit agencies your activities .
if you pay them before due date, the same month they will report your credit card with smaller balance. if you pay them on time ,you missing one month- smaller balance always help your credit score. |

Most of the time, it's okay if you pay it on time. There shouldn't be any penalty if you pay it on time because the website usually should log what time you paid the bill. However, sometimes it's better to pay it earlier so you don't forget, be delayed in paying it because of some accident, or etc. Then you're in trouble, but if nothing goes wrong, it's perfectly okay if you pay just on that day. |

Pay it early. You don't rack up as much interest. Paying off and keeping your credit card paid off is always good financial sense. It may not seem that you are building much credit, but you are. I worked at a bank and saw all the loan documents the bank produced for almost two years. One that really stands out in my mind is one that the person wanting a loan (as I recall quite a large loan), really didn't have any debt, but had a couple of credit cards. The loan officer said something like "as you can see she doesn't have much of a history of credit, however, in looking at her credit history you can see that for the past 3 years(not sure it was 3 years, but a short time) she has used her credit and paid off each credit/department store card in full each month." She got the loan and at a good interest rate too. That has always stuck with me. This person didn't have just a whole lot of money coming in, but because she used her credit responsibly she was able to get the loan she wanted. The bank saw her as a good credit risk, despite the fact she didn't have a big credit history. |
