NEVER CLOSE! the longer you have a card the better your credit, it shows u can handle credit. just cut it up or hide it. act like it doesnt exist |

You should keep it and put something on it once in a while, not over do it but just so your credit can get build up. Don't close it either way it's good for any emergency. |

Keep with zero balance. For best results (score), you should have used the card at least once and paid off the balance. |

keep it with a balance, you should have a balance and pay it off over time, or even pay if off every month. This will help you build credit. closing it hurts your credit. and zero balance all the time does nothing. |

closing is a negative effect on you credit score. also having too many open is negative. i would say if you got 2-3 with $0 balance, leave them open. buy something small to charge on everymonth and pay it off, to keep your account active.
if you got 10 c.c., then close out the ones with the highest interest rate..

Don't close it, it will cause your debt: credit line/avaiability ration to increase, which will lower your credit score by a few points. You should keep the account open but cut up the card so you keep it at zero. Having an opne but paid off account is aways better. |
