I believe it should be fine...
I have more than 3 cards and my credit score has been above 750 for awhile...
I think you should be ok if you spend withing your mean, has no late on your payment history, and pay off your balance every month. |

Avoid too applying for too many credit cards all at once. When ever you check your credit score it leaves a mark. If you have too many marks too fast lenders thing you've hit a financial wall and are headed for trouble. One case that comes to mind is about a first time home buyer. They were approved for the home loan but it hadn't been finalized. The buyer thinking he was getting a home applied for a credit card to buy furniture. Because the loan had not closed the new credit card application caused the loan to be rejected at the last minute. This one application caused his credit score to drop to an unacceptable level and he lost the house. The moral: be careful with the timing of your credit card applications. You should avoid more than 2. Your FICO score is partially based on how many cards you have. Having a card is very important to a good FICO score, but having too many hurts your score, because it means you can easily spend too much. I have read that 2 national cards is all you should have plus a couple of store cards. More than 2 national cards reduces your credit score, all other things being equal.
Think about it for a minute. Which of these is the bigger risk: Person A, who earns $50,000 per year and has 5 cards with a total credit limit of $50,000; or Person B, who earns $50,000 per year and has 2 cards with a total credit limit of $20,000? Obviously, A, because A could easily run up more debt in one month than he can pay in a whole year. |

Its fine to have as many as you like as long as you can exercise caution with them and control your spending, its all to easy to run up large debts very quickly these days, from personal experience i would advise saving up for the things you want rather than using credit cards! Although they are convenient in some situations, such as traveling abroad. |

yes but never have any individual one above 25% of what the cards credit limit is. Then you obtain the best credit that way, and ensure you pay on time. If you can't make the minimum, sell your blood or pay it off and cut it up. |

Having two credit cards is okay, because it helps you to establish credit, but just remember don't carry a balance more than 30% of the total credit limit. Try to keep your available credit at 70% or more because anything less will cause your credit score to drop. |
