If you can pay your bill of in full at the end of every month then it is ok.
It is way of improving your credit rating. |

Credit cards are not bad....if used wisely they can be great for you and your credit history. You'll hear a lot of people say that credit is evil and blah blah blah. Those are the ones who are impulse spenders and cannot responsibly pay their debts.
Credit cards can help you to rent cars, reserve hotels and often get discounted rates and/or purchase items online. Just like anything else you are expected to pay your debts in a timely fashion. Don't spend more than you can afford and pay your bill on time. |

It's good having them and spending the money plus they help with your credit score but it's not so good having to pay back the money especially if you can't afford to make higher repayments.. |

Providing you pay off your balances and don't get into debt, it's good to have a credit card.
Banks check your credit history when deciding when to give you a loan or a mortgage.
Insuch cases its better to have agood credit history instead of no credit history at all.. |

Yes they can help your credit rating but only if you can afford it, pay on time and don't spend your whole credit limit. You should only aim to spend about half of the credit limit and leave the rest. It shows that you don't rely on your credit cards and are responsible with money you borrow. Which is what companies are looking for, someone they can make money off, but aren't at a risk of non payment. |

It is only good to have credit cards if you buy something at a time you have no cash eg a few days before pay day you see a bargain, and then pay it off in one go before the due date. That way you save money on the bargain and dont get any interest added.
Any other way and you will pay interest on your purchases, and if you overspend you wont be able to make the payments. |

It all depends on how you manage your finances, Credit cards help you build credit which is critical to have when wanting to make bigger purchases such as a home or car. But if you don't have any discipline with your finances I would not recomend you getting one. In your case student credit cards are a good option because they do not have annual fees and carry low interest rates. check out this sites and go under student credit cards to compare them side by side on rates fees and rewards.

If you say so...

Nooooo.
Only if you are away and stuck.
Otherwise forget about them.
You get carried away and end up with a huge bill. |

Credit cards are funny. You need them when you are broke and have no money coming in - but that's when you cant pay back. You don't need them when you have a steady decent regular income and that's when you get and use them.
To conclude, they are just a means for middle men to charge you when you should be spending your own hard earned money. CLEVER! |

God No! You will start by paying it all then slowly you`ll start making the minimum payment and before you know it you owe thousands....dont do it...if you cant afford to pay for it outright then you cant afford to have it. |
