Let me remind you of some old sayings;
1. The checks in the mail.
2. I'm from the Government and I'm here to help you.
3. No, I wont ___ in you mouth.
Need I say more? |

A promise is not enough. They have to pinky swear. |

If they were running a scam, do you think they'd fess up? |
|

No. Why do they need the money if you're going to recieve it already? why can't they pull it from the money they're loaning you? why did they contact you and you didn't contact them? |

And just what makes you think they are telling you the truth? Were you just born yesterday? Of course a scammer would never claim to be honest.
If there were legit fees involved, they could just take it out of the proceeds of your "loan". The fact that they are asking for money up front just SCREAMS scam.
And as to the people who say to get the info in writintg, just what will that be worth, and what will you do with it when you are out your "fee" and never see any loan? Post it back here on Yahoo? |

No. It is a scam. Do not put money down on a loan from overseas, especially if they promise that it is not a scam. A legitimate lender would not need to say that it is not a scam. Only a scam would say it is not a scam. |

Sure, just send the money to me in the Philippines and I will take care of it for you!
You can't be serious, I would never fall for that.
Of course they will promise you it is not a scam, they are scammers and would get nothing if they were honest about that! |

Joke? Well, if you are serious, then you will seriously loose your money. These people have all sorts of lines that they try on people: someone died, a job processing bank funds, even pet adoptions. Joking aside: DON'T. |

No, not unless its a well trusted bank and you have visited them/or at least a branch here and verified that it is on the level. If you haven't signed anything and they want money first, that is a scam |

Go with your gut feeling. I have heard about a lot of scams overseas and your best off dealing local. Anyone can promise anything. A promise means nothing. Why don't you do some research on the company or ask for references? |
|

no!
if there is not formal documentation, do not do it! save urself a headache and stress...don't do it without doin the necesary research! call banks ask for references and go the 9 yards, if they refuse to give you all of this then you know it is a scam! |

is it okay to put money down on a loan from me if I promise that it is not a scam?
Its your money, do what you want, but I would go with a better known loan agency. After all maybe I am the one overseas trying to scan you out of your money. |

NO!! It is never to do anything like that on a promise.
Hey, if you send me a million dollars, I promise that I will send it right back. I just want to see what a million dollars looks like.
Do you believe me?
Get everything in writing. |

Since when do you put money down on a loan, Isn't the whole point of the loan that you don't have money? Its not like your buying a car. Never do business over sea. Unless you want to fund terrorist and outsourcing. |
