is it a debit card or a credit card?? debit cards have pins. credit cards you need to sign for. technically, it's illegal for stores to accept the credit card if his name isn't on it. last name doesn't count. there's lots of stores that don't check id though so you can always try it, but if they find out it's not your card then chances are they won't let you use it. they might be suspicious with someone so young having a credit card as well. |

its just like using your parents. when you nee to sign something sign his name. thats what i do with my g-ma's i've never had a problem with anyone asking for verification. oh and don't sign your name on the back of the card, not a good thing with all this identity theft going on |

well, you'd need the pin.
if you wanted to use it as credit MOST places would ask for an ID and they'd need an ID of the person's name on the card. otherwise, every time i've chose debit i have never been asked for ID.
your best bet is to ask your uncle for his pin. |

Yeah just sign the card,when they swipe the card just tell them to hit credit.then you sign the recipt and u keep one and they get one.. |

it doesn't matter who's name is on the card but you do need the pin number - all debit cards have pin numbers. you'll have to ask him what it is. |

well yeah. you can, but if they ask you for ID tell them it's your uncles card and they gave you permission to use it, then they will call your uncle on the phone to confirm. that's all.
