Boy oh boy, I just went through this one myself. You need to make sure you have this resolution in writing, if they ever charge your card again, report it to your card company or have that on file with them. They will reverse the charges if they ever appear again and then at that point you can probably file charges. But the key is to HAVE IT IN WRITING! LOL Good Luck!
In addition, I hate to say this, but a lot of the advice that is being given, I can honestly tell you is not true. It is very difficult to get a certain charge amount or charge from a specific merchant "blocked" you usually have to wait until the charge occurs and then get it reversed. This is from experience as a business owner. A credit card company or a bank will however usually always take care of unauthorized charges and they do it pretty quick. It's also not always easy to just "Change" a credit card number. Especially if you have that number associated with a lot of auto paid expenses, it can be quite a pain in the butt to have to switch a number. But it probably would be the best thing to do especially if you fear the number is being misused. |

I wouldn't close it, but you could call and say it was lost/stolen so that they can close and give you another one with different numbers. |

Yes, of course. You need to contact your banking facility and inform them of exactly what is going on. Believe me, they will take care of the situation. They WILL put a BLOCK on the MERCHANT for any future purchases. And if they do try to put any future purchases on your credit card they could be brought up for legal disputes!!! You can also do the exact same thing with the Credit Card Company and they will do the same thing. There are so many "thugs" out there trying to make fraudualent charges on charge cards that they are actually happy when consumers report merchants. |

Call your creditor or bank and no longer authorize the EFT (electronics funds transfer) |

Yes you can. YOu need to tell your credit card company and they will specifically block them out. However they can also ask you to cancel the credit card and make a new one if they can't block out a specific one. Ask them what are your options. Better call them up for peace of mind. Good luck! |

the best thing to do is report your card stolen and get a new card - once you give your credit card # to a merchant - they are free to screw you there after - it'll only take a few days to get a new card and it's worth it to not get charged anymore |

Read carefully on every bill that u have to sign on every purchase.
It's impossible to re-calculate whatever u have signed.
Before u pay, ask the cashier.... how much u charge my card, and controll it.
Daaaaaah. |

Call them up and tell them you got a new card with a new number and just make a number up so they will switch it and it will no longer work. I usually do this online. |
