Most companies will waive their yearly fee if you just ask. Only suckers pay that. As for interest free, American Express still has a credit card that has no interest...but you have to pay off the balance each month. Debit cards are free of interest. But I suspect these aren't the answers you are looking for...

Depends on what kind of free you are talking about if you mean no annual payments yes .. No intrest I dont think so that is how credit card companys make money

Mara
Most credit cards are "free". It's the interest rates and late charges that are not.

All credit cards are free to get. They cost money when you buy something and you have to pay them back.

norsmen
what do you mean by free. the card it self is free. the charges start when you don't pay them off every month

worldstiti
yes if you have great credit, and don't really need a credit card - it is definitely negotiable - so ask, i got one free for life no fees ever. but i hardly ever use it I just have it in case of catastrophe

Yeah, the card is free...but as soon as you charge something(s)...that bill sure isn't free!

CactusFlower
Only if you have outstanding credit will you get a card with no annual fee.

As some have already stated here.. in essence most CC's are free if you pay the balance off by your "due date" each month. Exceptions might be if you take out "cash advances" where interest accrues from the day you borrow the money.
