Some advice that I read about online shopping was to use only one credit card for all of your online purchases and make sure this card only has a $250 to $500 limit. You can pay it off each month if you plan on spending more. This low limit will keep theives from being able to charge too much and can be maintained fairly easy. Plus most credit card companies have a lot of theft security now. |

In my country there is what they call a "virtual" credit card that you can safely use to buy goods on-line - only! This kind of credit card is the safest to use on-line, once it requires a minimum amount of your private info when you use it, and it is available at almost all banks. I am pretty sure there is something like this in your country (?). |

It is possible, use PayPal. However, you have to give bank detail to PayPal.
Apart from that, there's no other way you can trade :) |

I love Paypal, and you will notice that Clickbank is also a method which accepts paypal.
It is also very easy to request money from your customer using paypal. |

PayPal is great. This means only one company either has your credit card details or your bank details. It is a massive company owned by eBay. So, it is safe. BUT NEVER NEVER NEVER click from an email that looks like it is from PayPal and asks to update your account. They will never do this and in fact this is the baddies trying to get you to give them your details.
it is always safer to type in the URL if you have to change anything on PayPal. |

I'm not sure if this is just a Pensacola, FL thing, but here, there's a card called a Simon card that is pretty much like a Visa card...it can be used online & everywhere Visa is accepted...when u use it to shop online, you dont have to worry bout bank info cuz its pretty much a reloadable card...its so convenient because there are no bills at the end of the month AND i think u can put up to 500 dollars on it...hope this helped |

AOL has an online wallet which you can use were the info stays with them and not the seller. They get only what is needed to fulfill the transaction. |

Some companies will allow you to mail a check or money order for your purchase.
We solved this problem by getting a very low fee account that we put just enough money in for purchases. We use the ATM card which is also usable as a VISA for any and all purchases we make whether online or in a store. Of course, you can't charge anything, just pay for it. But it provides security. |

Yes. It is only necessary to provide a credit card number. This has nothing to do with your bank, necessarily. However, if you are asking because you are worried about fraud, most credit cards have fraud protection. Use sites that have guarantees and encryption. I haven't had a problem in like 8 years of doing this. I wouldn't send any financial information to an unknown vendor. If you are going to shop on ebay, you can use paypal. |

use a credit card, such as a MasterCard or Visa. You don't have to give out ANY bank details if you do that. Before you enter your credit card number you should make sure the address begins with https:// or ends with .sht - the S at the end of the HTTP or at the beginning of the HTML part indicates that it is a secure site. |

you should only have to give your card number and secuity code for most and if they don't have the security notification don't use them if your uncomfortable. You are the person that is the holder and you have rights and should feel comfortable with any transaction you have to make online |

If you set up a PayPal account, the money can be taken from there.
This way PayPal will have your bank info, but not the places you make purchases from. |

you should never have to give your bank details. You should have to give your credit card number, that 3 digit number on the back and expiration date. be careful. make sure the site is secure and shop at well know stores. |

Of course. Using an American Express Card is your best option, but credit cards work fine also. Why would you have to provide bank info? Amex holds the merchant at risk while the others hold the cardholder at risk, so Amex is more consumer friendly, and there is a $50 limit on anything purchased without your authorization. |

American Express Blue credit card, comes w/ a smart card reader to hook up to your pc. You swipe the card to make a purchase and it sends your account number encoded. |

What type of "bank details" are they looking for?
I can't imagine anybody needing to know my account number or bank location. All they need is my credit card.
If it involves them deducting right from your bank account, that's simply crazy talk! Why would you want them to do that?
If they insist on such information, just tell them there are other stores on-line that will sell you the same stuff without that info...if they want your business they will back off. |

Best way is if you dont want to give banking information see if where ever you are shopping at will accept a money order. Of course it will take longer to recieve what you ordered, but you wont have to worry about someone getting into your personal banking information. |
