If the site is secure (look for the padlock logo). It is definitely safe to do it with PayPal, which is owned by eBay. |

Don't give out your CC number on ebay, always use paypal.
As there are a lot of scammers on ebay. Becarfull, make sure the person has good feedback, before u do that.

I suggest you sign up for something like paypal on ebay, just giving out credit card number to any seller can be dangerous and a very big risk of getting credit card fraud. |

E bay is a good website and millions use it, so it should be safe. The best way is to use a card that is a credit card rather than your checking account card |

If your talking about opening an eBay account, buying or selling, then it's alright. Many people around the world have opened accounts, but if you're talking about like selling your credit card number on ebay or giving it out, then it's not only not safe, but just plain stupid. But if you're opening an eBay account, then sure, its plenty safe. If it wasn't safe, why would it be so popular? People would have shut down eBay a long time ago if it scammed credit cards. |

One word of advice here - stay away from Pay Pal. If you doubt me on this, check out paypalsucks.com. I was personally hurt financially as both a buyer and a seller by using Pay Pal, which requires either a credit card or bank account number. With regard to buying on Ebay, if a seller won't take a money order or cashier's check, I don't buy. Period. |
