Yes it is and you need to be real careful not to abuse it. They make credit cards easy to get but they are hard to pay off. Once your credit is ruined it is very hard to repair it. My sister told me that on job applications they are now running credit reports. It's suppose to tell the employer if you are a responsible person. |

Depends on what country you are in and how much you have in the bank. Here in the Philippines, credit cards sell like hotcakes but popular banks here like BPI offers credit cards to their depositors and who reached their requirement balance. If you are working in a call center, these banks might as you more document requirements since your line of work has a high attrition rate and you might not be ble to pay your due if you resigned. |

Each department gave their respective reports.
When the credit manager reported that they had not suffered a single dollar loss on credit accounts, he was fired.
The premise was that he had not issued enough credit, thereby losing business.
An estimated amount of credit loss is acceptable and when the loss is less than their acceptable estimates, it's presumed that customers and business have been lost. |

Oh yes..it's far too easy,but you have to understand their logic,they want YOU to get into debt then they can charge you extortionate rates for interest,administration fees etc,so as you lose money,they gain money...from you !!! |

Well, this is how easy it was for me. I was walking through a shopping centre when i got stopped. They asked if i would like one and told me that the more I spend, the more points I earn towards getting gift vouchers to spend in the shops. They asked me how much i earned and what possessions I had at home and what they were sorth. i didn't own a house, a car or even rent. i had no credit rating at all. They gave me a credit card! How easy was that??? I was just out buying lunch! |

Yes, I do think so. Particularly when you are in the college age range (18-22). Sometimes if you apply for your first one after that age range, they give you a harder time (saying you don't have enough credit history - no duh, thats why you want one in the first place! - or other reasons.) |
