Is it true that i am entitled to a free credit report yearly?

Shelly
Yes. www.freecreditreport.com. They do not include your fico score, but it is very important to check all 3 reports yearly to make sure they are correct. Nearly 70% of credit reports have some error and it is up to you to correct. You need to send documentation directly to the bureaus and explain why the items should be corrected. They will contact the creditors and if they can not prove then the bureaus will update within 30 days.

Yes. Under the FACT Act, everyone is allowed one free report per bureau, once every 12 months.
AnnualCreditReport.com is the only government approved website to receive your free reports; 100% Free, no credit card or registration for credit monitoring services required.

Each year you are entitled to one free credit report from each of the three credit reporting agencies from the following site:

https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/i...

You can get all three reports at the same time, or get them at different times during the year.

Note: Despite the misleading name, https://www.freecreditreport.com charges for credit reports. Don't fall for the gimmick.

NOT freecreditreport.com
You have to sign up for a service this this...don't go there.

Everyone that said annualcreditreport.com is correct. This is where everyone can get a report for all 3 agencies. If you want your score, you will be charged extra.

Yes I believe you are entitled to a credit report from each credit bureau as well as one each time you are refused for credit.

Be careful hoever there are many sites claiming to give you a free credit report but only if you buy their product.

I would go to each credit bureau and ask how to get your free credit report.

I have done this several times.

Good Luck Gerry

yes, go to freecreditreport.com. There is a slight catch to all of these though. You need to provide them with your credit card number becasue after 30 days if you do not cancel your subscription it will start charging you 11 bucks a month to keep recxieving updates and such on your credit report. So they won't charge you for a month. After you view your credit report call and cancel your subscription and get some sort of confirmation number so they don't try and tell you you never cancelled, which reminds me, I need to cancel mine pronto! Hope this helps!
I don't know why I have two thumbs down! I speak from experience, I ALWAYS get my free credit report you morons, speak on what you know!
EVERY SINGLE PLACE HAS A CATCH AND YOU DONT HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR A SCORE. WHAT IDIOTS.

Yes, it's true that you can get a free credit report, but if you want a score it'll cost about $6.

I would go to Experian.com, Equifax.com and Transunion.com to get my free credit reports.

If they offer you a credit analysis (something else they charge for) don't waste your money. All they do is add up your monthly payments for consumer debt (stuff on the credit report) and divide by your gross monthly income. You can do that yourself for free.
