Is it true that the worse your credit...?
The less you have to worry about identity theft?
Additional Details
It's unfortunate that some people on Yahoo Answers will just assume that a questioner is dumb...I am asking the question because I wasn't sure of the answer. It's not because I'm lacking any "common sense".

How about you give some thought as to why you think you need to belittle people - is it to try and make yourself feel better?

Well it make sense. Why would anyone want to steal crappy credit.

But the reality is that even people with bad credit have credit cards and can be victims of identity theft.

Baby boy on board [[April 16th]]
No, identity thefts don't care.

Dewey K
I doubt that the people who steal identity's check the credit of those same people. The FBI reports that identity theft is the fastest growing type of crime.

No.

An identity thief isn't necessarily going to know your credit history before they hack into your life.

Identity thieves steal what is easy. Don't make it easy for them. Protect your personal information at all times!

SCH
I personally think yes, if I can't get a credit card, how is someone who tries to steal my identity going to get one!!! I do how ever worry about someone getting a hold of my existing account information (ie checking, savings, existing credit cards) and compromising those.

no! the id thieves will steal any kind of id they can, the only difference with a bad credit is that the said id thieves will build it up and then return it to you.

Common sense. Not all thieves want you identy for credit. How about a "new life" if they are escaping something? Give it some thought.

i would have to say no -- an identity theft is not interested in credit history -- they want the identity and the quick turn over of usage.

Absolutley not. My hubby had bad credit and someone stole his ss# to get a telephone in another state. This person ran up a bill that was a huge amount. It ended up in collections and we were never out from under that bill.
