No, she can't. No one is authorized to see your credit info except you or someone you authorize to see it. If you apply for a loan or credit card, when you sign the papers, you actually authorize the to do a credit check.
You have a choice here. You can report her, in which case she'd probably get into some sort of trouble. Or you can tell her it was illegal and tell her if she EVER does such a thing again, you WILL report her and follow through on your threat.
I'm not sure who you report her to but my guess is you'd have to go to the police and press charges, in which case, you'd need to provide proof that she did it. Or check with your state attorney generals office. They all have identity theft offices these days. And maybe if your mother just THINKS you are reporting her, it will scare the hell out of her. |

No, your mother cannot look up your credit info without your permission. What she did is illegal. One day your snooping mom could get in really big trouble if she keeps this up and gets caught. You are an adult now and should assert yourself more. |

First of all that would be called identity theft, so she committed a crime. She is not allowed to do that parent or not, you are of legal adult age (18). So you can press any charges you wish against her. That is your business not hers. If you guys are having a problem work it out, going behind someones back is not the right thing to do. |

Brother ignor all the people that said no way she can't do that...First of all she is your mom...Talk with her about this and don't get crazy..If you go off then you have more then a problem of mom being nosy..You'll have trouble thats not needed..Here's why...Lets assume im your up and coming landlord..I could check your credit history,how about a loan officer at a bank?..She could too...How about..car dealership?...I could go on and on...Plus if your living home,who's roof is that..Yours..or the parents..OH yea that mortgage they got to pay for that.Trust me the bank did a credit check on them as well...So a piece of advice from a hot headed Italian...Stay calm,ask questions..and be straight forward with mom..They will respect you and give up answers to your questions about this...Even if you don't like the answers because your a hot headed>>>>>> |

Tell your mother to back off and report her. Search online about companies that deal with identity theft. I do hope that she does it again so that way you can have proof. If you don't want her to do it again, move out. |

Im having the same problem, not legal, my friend. All you have to do is, to report it to the athouritys and they'll do the rest, but if they started your account and credit card, your out of luck. Really, what can you do if they started for you and they did it for you and to help you spend your money so you dont run out... because money doesn't grow on trees.. lol .lol lol. if you know what I mean. lol lol lol |
