Is no credit good credit?
does having no credit mean you have good credit?

moodysheri
no it just means you don't have bad credit. get a loan, a small one from your bank. Pay it in advance of due date until it is paid off and you have 'some' credit.

Lisa
Unfortunately not. You have to have something on your credit report showing you pay on time. Too much credit is not good either.

wizjp
NO. Try to buy something on credit with no credit.

No it doesn't. Unfortunately, the system we're under requires you to be in debt and show a good payment history in order to have good credit.

Nope it's actually worse
I guess they would rather know your bad payment history than not know at all.

55Spud
No. Actually moderately bad credit is better than no credit.

No I wouldnt say so. You should establish credit, and keep up with payments to slowly get good credit (credit cards)

No. You are non exist ant in the credit world.Go to a bank & talk to them about getting a credit line started. There are several things you can do to get a credit line going. One thing you can do is borrow some money from a freind or relative. Open a money market acount in a bank with the money. Go back a month later & borrow against that money(known as a secured loan) & pay back you're freind or relative. Keep up the payments & pay them on time & you will be on you're way. Also, you can get a credit card from a couple of small retail stores.Good luck.

Juillet
its good but it wont get you far. if you want to get a house, car etc you have to show on your credit report that you are good with making recurring payments, on time etc. i would try to get a low rate, low balance credit card that you can manage to pay off every month etc. this will show on your credit report that you can make payments on time etc.

beauty s
no, u need some kind of credit

sportbank
Traditionally, no credit is looked upon as a negative factor. The reason is due to the fact that you have no history related to financial responsibility (repayment). The purpose of credit history is to give someone examining your credit the ability to judge your repayment habits. If you have no credit established, there is no way for that person to make that determination.

It is somewhat difficult to establish credit for the first time, but once you do it - and make payments as agreed - it will slowly build your credit history, and in turn, raise your credit score.

Hello, You will need to get some credit in your name in order to get a credit score. Here is the fastest way to do that. Read the link below and if you have a way to do this you can sky rocket your score in about 45 days.

Read the link I added 15 yrs of credit to my report in 20 days. its Awsome!

No, having no credit can also make you a risk in the eyes of a potential creditor.

Without having an established good credit history you could very well be denied loans or credit such as a home loan or a car loan.

Scadle
Absolutely not. Having no credit can be just as bad, sometimes worse, than having bad credit.

Businesses that may do a credit check on you want to see that you've a) had credit; and b) made regular, predictable, payments.

No. In order to have good credit you must establish it over a period of time. You may be able to finance something if you have a co-signer with good credit. I recommend getting a credit card, buy things with it every month, and pay it off IN FULL every month ON TIME (to avoid finance charges, late fees, and hits to your credit). If you do this over time your credit score will rise. THE most important thing is to NEVER miss a payment or pay late!!!!!

No but it is better than bad credit. It is easy to get good credit. Go to a dept store, gas station, credit card company and apply for a card. Get one and use it maybe one time per month and pay it off each time. Build up good credit over time. Get a phone in your name and pay it every month. Simple things without overspending. Put the card away and don't use it except in emergencies.

its better to buy with cash that way you don't pay interest credit is just a way to charge more for products and services its a ripoff

iceman
No.

Having no credit makes you a high risk since lenders have no way to judge your history. You cant start getting large loans until you have built up some credit history.

Actually it's worse, becuase with bad credit, it was good at one point before it turned bad. Without a credit history, lenders have no idea at all what kind of credit risk you are. If you don't have a credit history, the easiest way to establish would be to ask a close friend or family member with excellent credit to add you as an authorized user on one of their oldest credit cards in good standing. The activity and payment history will reflect on your report once you're added.

Mrs.H
No you need to establish some credit.

If you have no debt, and no missed bills, then there is a very good chance that you still have a very good credit rating, even if somewhat unknown.

cured_severin
I think using credit responsibly and consistently is good credit... i.e. buy things fairly regularly with a credit card and pay all of your bills on time... however i could be wrong

no, it just means you dont have bad credit.
