Some banks do use these numbers as an account number but most of the time...it's the last 9 or 10 digits. If you are using a paypal account then your credit card account number is all 16 digits and if it's a debit card then it will be your checking/money market account usually it's in 9-10 digits and is usually not part of your debit card number. |

Your account number will be on your bank account statement and not on your credit/debit card.
The debit card number is unique to that card and has nothing to do with your account number. |

The long number across the middle of you card is known as the card number, Your account number is the 8 digits normally located at the bottom of the card next to your sort code your sort code is displayed as xx-xx-xx then your account number should be the number after it

your 8 digit account number is the one which is your bank account number, you will find this on your paying in book, the numbers on the front of your card are the ones you give if buying something on your card,you are usually asked for your security number which is 3 digits on the back of your card, hope this explains query. |
