Dave Ramsey is the best adviser I have seen for helping you plan your own financial turnaround. If you need more substantial help, then you might try meeting with a credit counselor. They can actually help you plan your actions to lower interest rates and get the debt paid off.
If you need an actual debt management plan, then you can also find out about the benefits and responsibilities that come with it. |

Read "The Total Money Makeover" by Dave Ramsey. It is eye-opening. He also has a radio program that is inspirational (but also entertaining).
It really helps you get your head in the right place about how you spend money, getting rid of debt, and accumulating wealth to attain "Financial Peace." (That's the title of another one of his books.)
His basic premises are (1) get gazelle-intense (focussed) on paying down your debts, (2) set up an emergency fund so you don't have to use credit when a big expense happens, (3) pay down your debt with a snowballing payment plan, paying off small debts first (minimums to the rest) then snowballing the entire payment of a paid-off debt to the next smallest, (4) becoming debt free so that you can begin to save your income and use it to accumulate wealth through smart investments. |

Yeah there are a lot of debt management programs available for you to consult upon. Try calling your local Better Business Bureau for more details. They should be able to provide you a listing of the many third party institution willing to help you in your needs. Check it out. It's for free to check anyway. |
