Yes but do you want a 34% APR? |

I had bad credit and my first card was from Aspire. They were really good. I mean it started off as a low amount - $300 limit but then as long as you keep your payments current then they raise your limit every so often. There are a few out there that are good. Just make sure to watch the annual fees. There's no sense in getting a card if the annual fees take up the credit limit on the card. Make sure if you do get one, you pay it on time or you pay it off. You will be able to improve your credit score this way. Good luck |

Yes but you're looking at an APR of anything between 35-50%. If you have a bad credit score do you really want to get into more debt? Live by your means. It's hard I know but you will have to pay out a hefty amount each month to pay it off so you will be worse off. Think about that. |

Capital one do that but the interest is quite high. Better off saving up for what you want. |

Of course.I had bad credit at one time and it seems I recieved more offers on the web or through the mail.Granted it probably wont be for as much as you like so heres what to do.Get a card, once you have it make sure you have money in your hand, use the card to charge something.A week later, go and pay your credit card bill. After a few times doing this, call the company and request a credit increase.DO NOT BE LATE ON ANY OF YOUR PAYMENTS.The interest will be way too expensive. |

In my experience there are two types of Bad Credit Credit Cards. One is a secured card, and the other has a much higher rate of interest. Both can be used to rebuild your credit worthiness after getting back on your feet. Secured credit cards are great for rebuilding your credit. You send the credit card company a pre deposit amount set by the company<!--This amount will be equal to your credit limit. Pay over your minimum every month and send your payment in before the due date and you will build your credit up gradually. Never miss a payment, be late on a payment, or go over your credit limit even by a small amount.

You don't want the company to ever have to take from your pre deposit amount because they want you to handle your account just like you would an unsecured card. A great thing about this pre deposit amount that you send in is it can act as a savings account even earning a little-->bit of interest for you. After establishing yourself with the credit card company, they may decide to give you a unsecured credit card or increase the limit on the one you have with them without having to make another deposit. Secured credit cards are a good choice for anyone wishing to rebuild their credit history. |

It has been mentioned already.
Vanquis. But unlike what the others said....39.9% interest...well I think that it is quite high !!! (If you repay them within 30 days...then it is free of course)
Now, it would be worth having a look to those new pre paid card:
"Bread Card"
"APS Cash Plus" are among those doing it.
Anyhow, I will STRONGLY recommend that you get your credit history (credit report) before applying to anyone of those, just to see what information they are holding on you. |

Because i am magic, i know the answer...
Well, depends on whether u want a card with credit? like a £1000 limit or whatever, i would say no.
However maybe if you just need a mastercard or visa, for other reasons but you have the money, you can get a prepay mastercard from the money shop, you know those stupid yellow cheque cashing places on most high streets?
Well, you go in, and you pay £10 for the card, as a setup charge, then you can load money onto it, and use it for buying online or whatever you need.
Hopefully this helps, unfortunately if you actually require a proper card with a credit limit, i would try and avoid it, as the only places that will give you one, will charge you a bomb in interest!
At least my way, you cant get into debt! |

There is usually an annual fee and a high interest rate but if you use it sparingly and pay the card off every month, the interest rate won't matter. If you really need to reestablish credit the $50 annual fee may be worth it to you. |

Major credit card issuers like Discover, American Express and Chase offer a credit card for bad credit holders. A 'shopping' card offers you an unsecured line of credit from specific sellers. Use these cards to increase your credit rating, since the credit bureaus will be informed about your timely payments.
Take care to ensure your credit is good by making intelligent credit choices. Keep low balances, do not be extravagant and take care to pay off your balances promptly every month.

There are more that a few lenders who specialize in credit cards for people with bad credit. You just have to look a little harder than most people have to.
And getting a card after you've had a few problems doesn't necessarily mean that you have a higher than normal rate. Like I said, you'll just have to compare between credit lines, yearly fees, and interest percentages. Just make sure you do your homework BEFORE you commit, and you'll be fine.
You can find some offers for credit cards, both secured and unsecured here:
