Is there a credit card that is best when you have bad credit?
I have been looking around online, and the ones I have been finding I have to pay a lot of money to get. I am trying to get my life straightened out, and that obviously includes my credit. Please help!! I really want to bring my score up.

When you have bad credit, any card is really a good card. At that point, it's about reearning trust that you can handle credit responsibly.

Orchard Bank is a popular choice for people with bad credit. You could try them.

I would suggest going to a bank and getting a secured credit card. That means, you'll have to put money down (Say, $200), and then they give you a credit card with a $200 limit. If you can't pay or screw up, that $200 is a security for the bank.

Over time, your credit will build and you can move to an unsecured card.

they will all charge an obnoxious interest rate and probably want you to pay a bunch of annual fees and activation charges, not worth it, credit cards are the quickest and easiest way to financial ruin.....trust me i know.

the best credit card is no credit card. i suggest you to get the book the total money makeover so you can learn how to get your financial life together again. having credit equals having debt the most successful way of having financial freedom is not having debt. the only reason why you need credit is to buy a house because if you want to purchase something else you should use CASH. CASH IS KING.

Not really sure if there is a "best" card for you!

I just got a capital one visa with a very low credit limit and fairly high interest rate. I have been using it for the last 6 months or so and have seen my credit limit go up and my interest rate go down. With bad credit you may have to deal with lows and highs like this, but you can work with it. Don't charge more than you can pay in one month, if you pay the balance off every month, you will never have to pay interest.

Try your best to find a card that you don't have to prepay for. If you can't find the lowest prepay amount regardless of the credit limit. You do not need a high credit limit to improve your credit. Never miss a payment or be late and you should see your credit improve in no time!

I just applied for a new card and was approved with much higher credit lines and much lower interest rates. You can improve your credit very fast if you are dedicated and disciplined!

Good Luck

I'd say get a credit card, and use it once a month to fill up a tank of gas, than pay it all off once is paid.

Mastercard is pretty good. You can get a low limit with about 6-7% interest.

gh0st_85
yes, dont know what state you're in but in NY you can use a pre-paid one. and do everything a reg. credit card can do, just fill it up frequently.
oh, and this is good because it works through major credit cards company like Visa and Mastercard so it does help your credit a bit

do NOT get a credit card!!!!!!! I have one idea but I have never used it: if you qualify for a bank loan get a small one like $2,000 but DO NOT SPEND IT, instead save the bank loan money and use it to pay the bank loan off(don't forget their is interest), by paying on time and the correct amount you'll be bringing up your credit score.

http://cards.hotusa.org - try this one. I personally use their card.
As I know it accept everyone, even if a person has bad credit.

Tammy
Do not use First Premier. Don't pay for one. Try Wamu and Capital One--unfortunelty with bad credit you will not get away from high interest until later

if you want a better score, do other things that are easier!
credit cards are tricky little #%%^$s you dont want to mess with those. instead see if you get a different cell phone, and work with your credit. ok thats my advice
