You can start by paying off your bad credit. Get your credit report and start calling the companies on it that you owe to set up payment plans. If you are just going to let them fall off, in my state it takes 7 years of no activity before anything will fall off. If you have any revolving accounts on your credit I don't think those will ever fall off because they can charge interest and that changes the date of activity. Your best bet start making payments to get it paid off. Every time you get something paid off it will raise your score after about 30 days. |

You CAN repair credit!! It is possible!! and you can do it for free. Now... it may not be fast.. but 5 mths of hard work will get it cleaned up if you do it correctly. |

No there is not a fast way to repair your creidt but there is a fast way to get establish new credit. This honestly works. You have to get a new social security number. There are only certain circemstances in which they will issue a new credit card. You can tell them you were in a bad abusive relationship and your ex has you social security card and you fear what he will do with it because in the past he has used it and received credit cards and charged up huge debts gambling and drinking. Say he has already ruined your credit. Then they will send you a new card and you need to establish credit. Like go to a bank borrow 500.00 but do not spend it. Go in next week and pay it off early. There is a postive mark. Go to antoher bank and do the same. By now you are able to apply for a credit card. Make the payments on the time and you are on your way to establishing your credit. This has never failed. |

go rob a bank and then pay off your debts before you get caught by the cops and then you will have good credit. You might wind up with free housing and food and clothing provided for 15 to 45 years. The upside to all of this is that you will still have good credit. |

And that would be FRAUD and a FEDERAL CRIME. Getting a new SSN to 'clean' your reports is ILLEGAL !!
There is no FAST way to clean up your credit, but it sure won't take 10 years either !!! It will take time and patience and if you want to pay off old debts, it will take money.
Paying off old debts will NOT raise your score, it's more likely to LOWER it. If you settle for less than owed, you might open yourself up to tax liabilities because if you're issued a 1099-C for the 'cancelled' portion (what you did not pay), any amount of $600 or more is considered income and must be reported on your tax return. If you can prove you were insolvent at the time the debt was cancelled, you won't have to pay any tax.
As already stated - get a 2nd job, live within your means, and stop using credit for every thing you just 'gotta have'. |
