No one can take anything off your credit report, unless you dont owe it, or the collection has expired. You can repair you own credit for free.
Here is a good article.

No....
You can always try the debt validation trick...which is free. Simply send a request for validation for each negative entry on your credit report...Do this one at a time for each entry...not all at once. Send via Certified Mail. Per the Fair Credit Reporting Act the credit bureaus must either validate or remove the items.....There is no guarantee of results on this. |

ITS THAT SIMPLE PEOPLE! PAY YOUR BILLS AND STOP TRYING TO WEASEL YOUR WAY OUT OF IT! YOU HAVE BAD CREDIT FOR A REASON, LACK OF RESPONSIBILITY AND MONEY MANAGEMENT SKILLS. AS A RESULT, YOU LIVE WITH THE BAD CREDIT YOU DESERVE.

You can write requet to Experian, Transunion, and Equifax if there were errors in their report. You can also ask them to remove credit inquiries - which can have negative impact if you have too many. For example, you may be surprised to see that a car dealer ran a credit check for taking a test drive. I have done these before, and I had a few credit inquiries removed from my credit report. They were actually prompt in responding my request, to my surprise.
If you want other things removed (delinquency, loan default, etc.), there is nothing you can do. To the best of my knowledge, these are permanent record, and watch out for anyone who promises otherwise. The only way you remove these is resolve issues with the creditor themselves. If you are late on payment, ask them to give you extensions, rather than letting things appear on your credit report.
To boost your credit score, you could ask your credit card companies to increase your credit limit. This will decrese your credit-debt ratio to be lower, hence improving your score. |

No. There is no company that can take anything off your credit report, even tho there are many "credit repair" companies out there who advertise to help you repair your credit.
Believe me, they are no more powerful than you at credit repair. It just takes a little education, and you can do it all by yourself and not pay a dime for a useless service.
Run your 3 reports, then find the bad entries. Is it your debt?
Pay it.
If not, then dispute it yourself. Do in online first since it's the easiest, and if that doesnt work start sending letters of validation.
Has it gone to collections and it is your account?
I repeat, send a letter of validation.
Boosting your score depends on the following:
35% - payment history-pay bills on time
30% - amounts owed-don't max out your cards.
15% - length of credit history-2 years or more looks decent
10% - new credit-applying for more than 1 card a year hurts
10% - types of credit in use- auto loan, mortgage, credit cards etc.

You can take it off yourself for free...if they are inaccuracies that is. If they are legitimate, then no amount of bribery should be able to fix it. |

Yes, but then no, well maybe.. I haven't seen any of these services that provide real bottom line results that last. Usually after 90 days the creditors go back and mess you up again, The best way is to take direct action yourself by settling up or working with the creditors to have incorrect entries repaired.
You can do it yourself. go to http://www.freecreditreport.com or go to http://www.lifelock.com both have good benefits.
You can review your credit reports and you file a dispute against any vendor you think is reporting an item in accurately. Once you file a dispute they have 10 working days to respond with an answer of correction.
If you have proof that the report is wrong, and the creditor doesn't correct it, then they are in violation of the law and can be prosecuted or sued, or both.
If you have to write them letters, you are well advised to mail yourself a copy of the letter at the same time, and use the most in-expensive registered mail (proof of delivery) for their copy. Never send original documents, only xerox copies. Save the originals for the lawyers (if and only if you need them).
The credit reporting agancies are among the most abusive and un trustworthy critters on the planet. Remember they work for the creditors and they are not your friend. They don't respond well to phone calls. Once they are aware you are tracking and documenting things, they will usually comply. You will have to be consistent.
Hope this helps |
