Well.....this is an expensive lesson. About the only recourse you have is to sue the person in small claims court for the money. |

You can bring an action in small claims court. Good luck proving it. If he's this sleazy, he'll undoubtedly be willing to lie to the judge too. |

I hope you got your card back! Otherwise, he could still be racking up charges! I would check with your bank for activity, and if he's still charging, have them put a stop on your card. So far as getting your money back, you may have to take him to small claims. |

Been there...done that, I understand how hurt you must feel being betrayed by a friend. When it happened to me, I initiated court proceedings, but then realised I would probably never see the money again anyway as he didn't have a job, so I stopped the proceedings, paid the $3,500.00 myself and chalked it up to experience. An expensive lesson learnt. |
