Is there any loan company that gives 1000 pounds to NON homeowners?
Nobody is going to GIVE you £1000. However, you could find someone to lend it to you - start with your bank. If no joy, get advice from your Student Union, they will know of financial institutions who are student friendly

I presume with you asking this question on here you have tried all the highstreet lenders like banks? If you haven't, try those first as they offer the best interest rates. If you have tried them and got no joy try Welcome Finance, they offer a sky high APR but are very leniant with lending even if you have horrendous credit history.
I hope that this helps although i would recommend trying not to get into debt, believe me when you are all settled down and still have debts hanging round your neck you'd of wish you hadn't of applied!!! If you can do without it do xx

YOu could probably find a lender to give you the money if you weren't a student.
You've just admited, unwittingly of course, that your short fo money anyway, so taking on new debt that needs to be paid back every month isn't going to happen.

Try Capital one or Providian, they give credit cards to students who are renting (I had one!)
Or ask bank for extended overdraft. Do you have student load already?
Also put in google 'funding for students' and see if you can find out about access funds.
Try hunting here too..
