i am a overweight woman who is desperately trying to recieve the lapband surgery that i believe will ultimately save my life. however i keep hitting a wall. insurance wont cover it and due to circumastances beyond my control my credit is not so good right now. i am working on it but have not gotten it to the point that i can aquire financing on my own. i really don't know what else to do. i know this sounds crazy. i lost my daughter 2 and a half years ago while i was in the process of going through the hoops for the insurance company. as you can imagine after such a loss i lost my focus in dealing with this problem. now i have another child and a teenager and i want to focus on them and myself by getting healthy, but now my insurance will not cover the procedure anymore. i'm feeling a little selfish in doing this, but at this point i am desperate. if i can come up with the money i can have the procedure done in a matter of weeks. just thought i would try, thanks |

Honey, you need to go on a Diet. You dont need lap-band surgery. You CAN do this with will power and change of your eating habits. Ask your doctor to see a Nutritionist and they will tell you how to lose weight. I'm on a doet now, been on it for 2 months and its hard as hell, but you can do it!! |

Being overweight is usually something that can be prevented.
Why don't you focus on eating healthy and exercising and that alone will drastically improve your health and appearance rather than asking strangers to finance your surgery...... |
