Depending on your credit, you might be able to get a loan from your bank or credit union. |

Why don't you save the money for a year and you won't need a loan at all? |

if you are going to pay back that much money a month, why would you want a long term loan? You can get a $5500.00 loan anywhere if you have good credit. If your credit is not so good you can still do it with a co-signer who has good credit. |

For this amount, the best way to get a loan is through a home equity line of credit (HELOC). If you don't have a home with equity in it, it's going to be very tough, unless you have other collateral.
If it's a business loan, you may find some banks that will lend to you.
If it's a personal loan, this Prosper.com concept sounds like a good one.
