I have had nothing but good luck and excellent customer service from Capital one... I got my card about 2 years ago.
Admittedly I haven't used it for a while, however my philosophy is that mad one of "if you can't afford to pay it immediately by bank transfer when you get home, you can't afford it" (ie I only use credit cards where they do not accept Maestro debit cards)
(as for the interest, I never have that problem as i pay off my debt before interest is incurred)
There have been no hidden charges, my credit limit of £xxxx is As Is and in fact I think I'm about £5 in credit... although maybe I should be earning interest on that money seeing as they're holding it for me and would soon charge me interest if I owed it to them :-P
Seriously though absolutely No problems ever.
And there's a cute tabby cat on it which looks like a younger version of my previous cat :-P |

i have heard they are terroers when it comes to late payments.
and thier interest rates tend to suck, but thats for those of us with crap credit history, so beggers cant be choosers. |

I wouldn't say I had a problem, but they f'ed me running alright. I had a $500 credit card and paid $20 a month for 3 years. At the end of my time with them, I still paid over $500 to close the account (my fault because I missed a couple payments and allowed the balance to go over the limit).
It's all legal and usually in the verbiage that you agreed to. This is why everyone tells everyone else not to get credit cards! :) |

I would say any type of credit card is a problem... If you don't have the cash, then don't use a card... Good luck |

You should outline your problem. Most poblems are caused bythe cardholder. I am one and I cause problems all the time. When I do, I call customer support and whine and bawl and they usually give me my way. I have had literally thousands of dollars in late fees taken off just by crying my eyes out over the phone. This is all accidental, but I can't help it if sometimes I lose track of what day of the week it is. Hell, sometimes I don't even know what month it is, so how can I be expected to be exactly on time 100% of the time? Usually I am a few hours late in making a payment deadline and have no choice but to call customer support all in a dither and terribly upset about this 'huge problem'. It is best to get a woman when you call customer support because if you whine properly you release their maternal instincts and they will want to protect you. It is also good to learn how to grovel on the phone; it's worth a lot of money if you do.
If I get a "NO" I call back whining and bawling until I get the answer I want. I have a 90% success rate in getting fees removed |

They do not report your credit limit so it hurts your credit score. |

Yes when you apply for credit and get accepted they tell you you will get a limit of £1000 but you don't you get £200 and when you complain they tell you it will be put up in 6 months but its not and their interest is high. |

I just have a problem with credit cards. No need for them debit cards are all you need. Nothing is worth that kind of interest. |
